Quick answers about what RollupBandit does, what Premium unlocks, and how your data is handled.

• What is RollupBandit?

  RollupBandit is an app for organising golf roll-ups, swindles and society events. It handles the bits organisers usually wrangle on paper — entries, tee sheets, Stableford scoring, side games, payouts and shareable results — so you can spend the day on the course, not in a spreadsheet.

• Does everyone in my group need the app?

  No. RollupBandit is designed for organisers. One organiser runs the roll-up, enters scores, calculates payouts and shares the results with everyone — over WhatsApp, message or anywhere else the group chats. Your golfers don't need accounts or installs.

• Why doesn't every golfer enter scores into a live leaderboard?

  RollupBandit is designed for organiser-led golf without requiring every golfer to create an account, install an app or use their phone throughout the round.

  Live leaderboards can be incomplete when groups are at different stages, scores have not yet been checked or mobile signal is unreliable. They also place responsibility on golfers to keep entering data as they play.

  With RollupBandit, everyone simply plays golf. The organiser records the completed cards, confirms prizes and side games, and shares one definitive result the whole group can trust.

  Less screen time during the round. One complete result afterwards.

• Why not just use a spreadsheet?

  You can, and many organisers do. But the spreadsheet usually becomes another job to maintain. Tee groups, scoring, side games, payouts, handicap changes and shared results all need separate formulas, tabs or manual work.

  RollupBandit brings the whole organiser workflow together and turns the completed cards into one clear result without the organiser having to build and maintain the system themselves.

• Is RollupBandit free?

  Yes. The core roll-up flow is free:

• What does Premium unlock?

  Premium unlocks organiser-focused extras:

• Can I run a weekly roll-up without Premium?

  Yes. Free users can run a regular weekly roll-up indefinitely — no limits on rounds, golfers or rolling history.

• Does RollupBandit handle Stableford scoring?

  Yes. RollupBandit uses front-nine and back-nine Stableford scores and derives the total automatically. Countback, ties and prize splits flow from those values without extra input.

• Can I share results with my group?

  Yes. Standard sharing is free and always will be. Round results, tee sheets and history exports are designed to land cleanly in WhatsApp, group chats and emails.

• Can I back up my data?

  Yes — three layers, all under your control:

  • Manual backup. Settings → Backup & Restore → Back up data creates a single file containing everything — every roll-up, tournament, round, season and setting. It goes straight to your share sheet, so you can save it to Files, Google Drive, email it to yourself, or drop it in a chat. That file is yours to keep, wherever you keep it.
  • Restore. Choose a backup file from the same screen and RollupBandit shows you a preview — when it was made, what it contains — before anything changes. Confirming replaces the data on the phone, and a safety copy of what was there is taken automatically first, so a restore can always be walked back.
  • Automatic safety backups. The app quietly keeps rolling safety copies on the device at key moments — after a round is ended, after a tournament completes, and before any restore or deletion. They're listed in Backup & Restore and can be restored with a tap.

  To pass a single roll-up or tournament to another organiser — rather than everything — use Hand over to another organiser: it sends a complete copy of that one event as a file the other phone opens straight into RollupBandit.

  Everything is stored on your device or in files you control. Nothing is uploaded to a cloud, and there are no accounts.

• Does RollupBandit use cloud sync?

  No, not currently. Data is stored on the device, with backup and restore tools available. If you want a copy you can keep safe or move to another phone, use Settings → Data → Back up data.

• Can I use RollupBandit for tournaments?

  Yes. Tournament mode is available with RollupBandit Premium, in three formats:

  • Stableford tournaments — multi-round competitions with cumulative standings, tie resolution, prizes and side games across the whole event.
  • Matchplay cups — Ryder-style team events with singles and pairs sessions, live cup standings and a decided-cup moment when the leader can't be caught.
  • Knockouts — bracket competitions for 4 to 64 players, with byes for uneven fields, walkovers, and a champion's run from the first round to the final.
• Can I run a season-long competition?

  Yes. Seasons & Honours are available with RollupBandit Premium — keep year-long standings, Order-of-Merit style competitions, and a permanent honours board for your roll-up.

• How do I get support?

  The fastest route is the Support page — a direct line to the small team building RollupBandit, not a ticket queue.
